DT Call!!

I shouldn't really be telling anyone, because it's more competition for me!!! But
Pollycraft Digital Stamps has relaunched and
is having a DT Call for their Challenge Blog!!!
Well I'm not in their league, but I decided I would have a go,
I will never know unless I have a go and

would kick myself for not making something to enter.

I noticed a post on a friends blog today, thinking I had never
seen the images before, but I have!! My friend Karen O'Brien has used
them in her cards and I've often wondered what they were!
Anyways, I'm in love and as I enjoy making guys cards the
Digi's I bought today are ideal to develop some my cards!!

My card was made for my brother in laws 40th, fishing mad.  I used a lovely Teddy Bo & Co Digital image and made my sentiment up to match my Die Cut Hexagons.  Hope you like it.

Tilda Wedding

Yawnnnnn!!! 2.20am Saturday morning and I can't sleep although I feel exhausted, aching elbows and arms and jittery legs! Still I've tried to keep myself busy for an hour or so and feel really bad because I've owed a wedding card to someone since last year! eeek!  I really liked the die cut shapes I used in my last tilda card, so went with that to speed things up a little. I've finally managed to finish the card, but as the weddinghas been and gone I used a Wedding Memories Sentiment I made myself. Thanks for stopping by, your comments mean a lot to me!

Tilda and Frantage!

What a lovely day it is outside!  Still I've been tucked up at my craft station looking into the garden making my first Tilda card in a very long time!! In fact it must be well over a year since I've touched a Tilda Stamp and it's strange, you think you don't miss them until you use one.

I've been reading lots lately on the blogs I follow about something called 'Frantage'? Well inquisitive me and not wanting to miss out on anything, I decided that I would investigate what it was. I discovered that it's basically heat embossing using embossing powders and larger than average flakes of this and that giving the surface of your work textures.  So armed with this little bit of knowledge, I decided next time I ventured out for the day I would have a look at it.  

Anyway, yesterday I went for a ride over to Billericay to buy a new microwave (my excuse), I didn't really intend to end up at Barleylands Craft Village, but like a moth to a flame it was calling me!!  After visiting some of the lovely crafty shops, I wandered into my favourite Sugar & Spice where the lovely Marion was back from her travels and busy schedule including QVC and the Boston, USA where she's been teaching.  I asked Marion about 'Frantage' powders and she jumped at the chance to show me how to create a Frantage finish!!  Wow!! I was hooked, I went home a happy bunny and created my first card using the products, but I can't share the first make with you as this is for a Challenge on my Cutie Pie Challenge, but I will share the one I've made today using my lovely Elegant Tilda stamp and all made in my favourite colour combo of Pink and Black!

I used Go Create Dies to make the base card from black bazzil card, layered with Laura Ashley papers, Tim Holtz Doily Die which I have covered in 'Frantage', an oval die which is heat embossed, the cheery lynn flourish is heat embossed too as is the Sentiment.  The paper in the oval is from Sugar & Spice, one Marion designed herself - the cool thing about this paper is that you can rub ink over the paper and then using a baby wipe, give it a wipe over and only parts of the paper you want in the inked colour remain stained!  Cool!  I've used Wow embossing powders and some irridescent flakes, coloured my Elegant Tilda with promarkers Skin-coral/sunkissed pink/blush, Dress - rose pink, pink carnation, Hair - chestnut, cocoa, sandstone Shoes Black and finished with a clear star Sakura pen.  I hope you like her, this is a completely different style to the normal layering I like.  I would like to enter my card for the following challenges:

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good morning to all the Craftymonkeys!
Busy busy week for me last week and really looking forward
to having the next week off!  I made this card to show on
Teddy Bo & Co's blog, there are some wonderful images
to create the perfect card for anyone, so I used this
gorgeous one for a lady called Stacey Schieffelin from YBF Beauty,
Stacey invited me as a girlfriend on her tv show over the
Easter weekend and the gift she gave me was £300's
of beautiful ybf makeup, so this is just a
little thank you for her, hope you like it!

Here Come The Boys Challenge

Good Morning Craftymonkeys! Well a new
challenge starts at Here Come The Boys
today and I'd love you to join in!  

All you need to do is make a card for a boy
and follow the Little Boy Blue (Monochrome) theme.
You can however, have skin colours and hair tones!

who's having a naming ceremony.

This time we have a sketch that I have designed for you.  The DT have

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good morning to all the craftymonkeys out there, yet another week of chasing my own tail and a rather tearful one too!  Had quite a hard week with someone bullying me and a visit to my GP which didn't deliver the news I wanted to hear, but heyho onwards and upwards!!  It's Teddy Bo Tuesday over at the Teddy Bo Challenge and I just can't believe where the time has flown by, new releases coming from the wonderful Teddy Bo & Co!! next week, so why not pop over and have a look at the current release which are absolutely gorgeous!
